Description

Make the Best Investment in Your Teen’s Future.

This after-school program develops emotional intelligence and teaches empathetic, active communication—equipping your teen with the most essential life skill: effective communication!

These skills help teens build stronger relationships and lay the foundation for future career success.

Many of us carry communication patterns from our upbringing, and as parents, it can be tough to see those patterns passed on to our children. Bridging that gap requires intentional change—and this program offers the tools to do just that.

At the heart of our happiness is the need to be understood. But when we don’t feel understood, we often stop trying to understand others—and relationships suffer.

Effective communication is not just about others—it’s a commitment to ourselves. It’s about clearly expressing what we need and setting healthy boundaries, creating mutual understanding and deeper connections.

This program will help your teen develop these skills and build more meaningful relationships—both now and for the future.

Program Description:

This is a fun, interactive group session with exercises designed to develop self-awareness, self-reflection, and essential social skills. Teens will engage in activities that encourage them to understand themselves better, reflect on their behavior, and build new ways to connect with others.

Key Focus Areas:

  1. Mindfulness and Perception: Teens will learn how the mind perceives information and practice mindfulness to stay grounded in the present moment. They will explore effective techniques for letting go of the negative stories in their heads, understanding how these internal narratives can influence their emotions and behaviors. By recognizing and reframing these thought patterns, teens can significantly reduce anxiety and promote emotional well-being. Mastering mindfulness is essential for managing stress, fostering resilience, and enhancing overall mental health. This foundational skill not only helps teens navigate challenges but also equips them with lifelong tools for emotional regulation and self-awareness.
  2. Positive Self-Image: Participants will explore the importance of self-acceptance and develop strategies to build a positive self-image. By connecting to their emotions, teens will learn to communicate with genuine interest and authenticity.
  3. Get in Touch with Your Emotions:

Effective communication goes beyond simply exchanging words; it encompasses expressing our emotions and messages with clarity. When we engage with others, our messages can sometimes become muddled, leading to frustration on both sides when they aren’t fully understood. To improve this understanding, we must first recognize our own needs and emotions. By tuning into our internal messages, we can communicate more effectively with others. Throughout this process, we will utilize self-assessment techniques to delve into our feelings and desires. Gaining insight into what we want and need from others allows us to articulate those emotions clearly, thereby enriching our interactions and relationships.

  4. Understanding Overthinking and Decision Making: The workshop will delve into the cycle of overthinking, examining its effects on mental health and decision-making. Teens will gain insights into how to recognize and manage these thought patterns to enhance their daily lives.
  5. Satisfaction vs. Fulfillment: Participants will learn the difference between temporary satisfaction and lasting fulfillment. Through engaging discussions and activities, they will discover how to align their actions with their values and passions for a more meaningful life.
  6. Effective Communication Skills: By mastering these concepts, teens will acquire practical tools and skills needed to connect with others more effectively, fostering healthier relationships and enriching their social interactions.
